The project was created to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Liverpool FC’s first match and aimed to tell the story of one of the world’s most iconic football clubs. The animation focuses not only on sporting achievements, but primarily on the emotions, traditions and heritage built over decades.

The entire piece was designed as a visual narrative, combining the club’s history with modern motion design language, making the material both a tribute to the past and an attractive form of communication for contemporary audiences.

Brief

The project’s goal was to create an animation celebrating 130 years of the club’s history and present its identity in an engaging and modern way. The key challenge was to capture the rich heritage, fan emotions and the club’s significance in football culture, while maintaining an accessible visual form.

The project required finding a balance between historical narrative and dynamic form that would work in digital channels and be attractive to the global fan community.

Solution

We designed a storytelling-based animation where symbols, colors and characteristic elements of the club’s visual identity play key roles. The narrative was built in a fluid way, guiding the viewer through successive stages of history – from the beginning to the present.

The visual layer combines simplified illustration with dynamic movement, creating a cohesive and modern aesthetic. Great emphasis was placed on rhythm, timing and emotional message, so that the animation would convey the energy and passion associated with the club.

The end result is an engaging animation that presents the history and values of Liverpool FC in a modern way. The project strengthens the emotional bond with the brand while emphasizing its heritage and global character.
